So what I told you in the sidebar wasn’t enough? You want to know more? You nosey thing!
Well, if you really want to know more about me, I’ll have to tell you The Most Important Thing. Because that’s what makes me tick. The rest of it is icing.
I fell in love with writing when I fell in love with reading good books. While reading Anne of Green Gables, I first entertained the idea of one day becoming an author. My first endeavors were fairly humble (and admittedly a little weird): stories about kidnapped insects and dancing pumpkins. My third grade teacher accused me of having too much imagination.
The dream stayed alive, but was a long time in coming. I didn’t take up the serious pursuit of publication until after my first child was born–during those moments “they” say new moms should steal a nap.
In 2012, I realized a lifelong dream when my first novel, After the Snow Falls, was published. (Get a taste of it here.)
The stories I write are about the supernatural invading the lives of real people living through real struggles. Stories that make you believe. A reader wrote that After the Snow Falls was “a journey of hope.” She couldn’t have paid me higher compliment.
If you’re one of my readers, I’d love to hear from you. And thank you for stopping by.
